git-repair software package provides repair various forms of damage to git repositorie, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install git-repair
git-repair is installed in your system.
Make ensure the git-repair package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep git-repair *
You will get with git-repair package name, version, architecture and description in a table
